Accommodation?

Our own

Wisteria Cottage is situated in a quiet, residential gravelled lane in the village of Alderbury. Attached to the main cottage is the converted annexe, offering good and comfortable accomodation for the students. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single all with en-suite facilities, and central heating.

A kitchen/diner provides an oven, fridge-freezer, washing machine and micro-wave oven. The comfortable sitting room has a television and video, and is fitted with a wood-burning stove.

Meals are taken in the annexe kitchen or on the patio during the summer where there are barbecue facilities. Students prepare their own breakfast which is provided. A light lunch is provided ready prepared and in the evenings most students self-cater.

Alderbury is a pretty village 3 miles south-east of Salisbury. The 14th century pub called the Green Dragon is a few yards from Wisteria Cottage and will provide warm and friendly hospitality, as well as good food.

Tesco's is about 2 miles out of the village. We are a short distance from the New Forest where there is an abundance of pubs and restaurants for an evening out.

How To Get Here

By car:
Entering Salisbury from any direction, follow signs for the A36 Southampton bringing you to College Roundabout, the College being on your left. Follow this road out of Salisbury for three quarters of a mile, and come to a small roundabout. (Tesco is on your left) Go straight ahead and after a quarter of a mile this becomes a dual carriageway. Immediately move into the right lane and take the slip road off, crossing over the carriageway, and on into the village of Alderbury. Follow the road for about one mile, and as soon as you see the 30 mph speed restriction signs (the sign for the Green Dragon will be on your left), slow down to take the next turning right into Silver Street. Wisteria Cottage is the second house on the right.

By Train or coach:
There is a regular train service from Waterloo and similarly by Coach from Victoria. We will be happy to pick you up from either of these services should you require it.
