John is the driving force behind the courses. He runs the business and organises the courses. In the past he has been involved in the building of many of the unique properties in and around the Salisbury area, as a memeber of a highly successful, exclusive, building business.

The other major subjects taught by John include care and repair of woodwork and furniture as well as french polishing.

Annie concentrates on teaching upholstery and maintains a high level of contact with students. Annie also specialises in purchasing materials, whether for the courses or for aftersales to former students.

In addition to John and Annie, Diane teaches the soft furnishing and loose cover courses. Diane has over 26 years experience in upholstery and furnishings.

As well as teaching, Diane and Annie also accept commisioned work as upholsterers.

The Upholstery Workshop has been running at this site for 4 years now. It is sited in a beautiful part of the Salisbury countryside, close enough to the city yet far enough to be part of the countryside.
